If you are a super last minute person, this recipe is for you!

Throwing a party or looking to get the kids in the kitchen, this recipe is as easy as can be.

Just a revamped version of your favorite rice crispy treats, with a little Halloween flair!

 

What you need:

  • 6 1/2 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1-10oz pkg marshmallows (4 cups mini marshmallows)
  • 1/4 cup butter/margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips, melted
  • assortment of halloween candy, nuts, and/or crushed pretzels

 

Quick version (you can always stick with stove top method)

In a large mircrowaveable bowl, add marshmallows and butter. Place in microwave 2 mins - 2 mins 30 sec.

Remove from mircrowave and stir in vanilla. (marshmallows should be nice and melted) add in crispy rice cereal and coat with marshmallow mixture.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and gently spray with non stick cooking spray

Form into balls (make sure hands are damp so they don't stick to your hands, gently dampen when necessary)

Melt chocolate chips, you can melt them in microwave too. I usually do 20 sec intervals and stir until melted, or you can use a double boiler

With a fork drizzle chocolate over crispy treats then sprinkle on your favorite halloween candies

** I crushed the candies and pretzels I used so they were smaller pieces to stick to the chococlate**

Let set or place in fridge for 10 mins to set quicker.
