It's pumpkin season! If you haven't already noticed...there's pumpkin lattes at every coffee shop, pumpkin patch excursions, and well, the grocery store has every possible pumpkin flavored everything.

 

Obviously, I'm a pumpkin fan too, so I can't blame anyone for being on the pumpkin train. I haven't started thanksgiving baking...yet, but I did want something pumpkin.

I opted for a milk shake, I tweeked it a bit so it wouldn't be the quilty equivalent to a slice of pie. Thanksgiving is around the corner so I don't want to go all out just yet.

I used ice cubes to add cool texture without doubling up on the frozen yogurt, apple juice liquifies it without adding extra sugar and compliments the pumpkin beautifully

The end result is a creamy, cool taste of fall! 

What you need:

 

  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 scoop vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 3/4 cup ice cubes
  • 3/4 cup apple juice (you can add more juice if you want it thinner)
  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice

Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Top with whipped topping and more pumpkin spice.
