Crepes are delicate, beautiful, and perfect way to begin your day. Paired with fresh fruit, powdered sugar, and a drizzle of chocolate spread..

why not surprise your valentine with breakfast in bed. These Crepes are even whole grain, but your valentine doesn't need to know how healthy they are, all they need to know is how delicious they taste..

What you need:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • assorted fruit, for serving
  • powdered sugar
  • nutella

Place all ingredients into blender, pulse until well combined (about 10 secs). Place batter in frige for 30 mins to an hour...(this pro tip from Alton Brown ensures that the bubbles subside so there is less tearing while cooking your crepes)

In a skillet on med high heat, grease with non stick cooking spray or butter...pour about 1/4 cup batter onto pan and swirl pan around in circulare motion so the batter coats the pan evenly..cook for about 30 secs per side, using a spatula gently flip crepe.

You may fold crepes or roll up with fruit. Sprinkle on powdered sugar and drizzle on nutella...Serve hot
