Mornings are better when they are sweet...right?! I love starting the morning with something sweet. This is just your simple french toast recipe but the festive stencils just made it that much more appetizing.

I found these adorable stencils at the dollar store so I implemented them as the perfect added touch for warm breakfast on a cold snowy day.

What you need:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup half & half cream
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 8 slices day old loaf of bread (or your favorite sweet bakery bread)
  • butter

Combine eggs, half and half and cinnamon in mixing bowl.

Dip bread in mixture coating well on each side.

On med high heat, melt butter in fry pan..fry two sliced of bread at a time (about 3 mins on each side)

Place in 350 degree oven for an additional 5 mins. Use stencil to sprinkle on icing sugar, or just sprinkle it over top

Serve with maple syrup, berries, and of course a cup of coffee!
