Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. For good reasons, nutritionist constantly stress the importance of eating a hearty and a healthy meal early in the morning. You want something that’ll satisfy your hunger cravings; something high in protein and natural sugars to regulate your insulin levels; and something that’s preferably delicious. Well, do I have a yummy treat for you.

Banana pancakes are highly popular amongst health foodies. While I prefer eating my fruits raw (as in this state, I ensure I’m getting all their vitamins and minerals), I love indulging in yummy sweet fruity cooked delicious goodness once in a while.

 

This the type of recipe that wakes you right up out of bed on a Saturday morning. The sounds of sizzling on the stovetop, and the aroma of breakfast, right there, waiting for you. This is a perfect one pot breakfast, you can vary the ingredients to fit your tastes. I kept it classic, just how I remember it as a kid, but I did add my own special touches.

 

A rule every health foodie must abide by is to learn to make their own nut butter. Approximately every single health food blog out there has a recipe / how to guide / on making almond butter. Suffice it to say that this is the simplest and most important thing a healthie (get it: foodie / healthie) can do for their self.
