When life gives you lemons, make some lemonade!

Leave those powders in the pantry, and bring your zingy lemons out for this one.  I decided to add a tropical twist to this citrus beverage, making it even more delectable.

Mangoes pureed to perfection, really work in their natural sweetness while adding a bright color to this famous summer drink.

Leave those powders in the pantry, and bring your zingy lemons out for this one.  I decided to add a tropical twist to this citrus beverage, making it even more delectable.

Mangoes pureed to perfection, really work in their natural sweetness while adding a bright color to this famous summer drink.

What you need:

  • 3/4 – 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice (12 – 16 lemons depending on size and juice)
  • 1 cup mango puree (2-3 mangoes, peeled, pitted, and cut in chunks)
  • 1 gallon cold water

Blend mangoes into puree.

In a large pitcher, mix sugar and hot water until sugar has dissolved. Add lemon juice, mango puree, and remaining water. Mix well.

Served chilled and/or over ice
