Although I do have a strong affection for wine, drinking it or splashing into a savory dish, sometimes we need something a little stronger. For this mojito, the wine was sitting pretty, and I took out the rum!

 

This kiwi mojito, not only looks floral and appealing, but it tastes so fruity and refreshing. The kiwi fruit has this sweet delicate taste, paired with bright, bold tasting mint, they bring out one another’s essence. The bubbly, sparkling taste of the soda and splash of rum, make for a delicious beverage, sure to please the cocktail lover in anyone.

 

What you need:

  • 2 kiwis (peeled and diced)
  • 2-3 sprigs of mint
  • 2 oz white rum
  • 12 oz lemon-lime soda (club soda)

Place mint and kiwi at bottom of tall glass, muddle until preferred texture. Add ice, rum, and soda, stir and serve.
