It’s been quite a while I made a post on this blog. Jessica has been hard at work creating artistic / tasty goodies and I’ve been, sadly, MIA. Two posts ago, Jess made this tasty, mouth watering brownie. I wanted to try something just as sweet,

but simple. Having limited time to cook much these days, I opted for this banana caramel milkshake. It’s amazingly sweet and absolutely mouthwatering. Sweet enough to curb those terrible cravings but absolutely alright to indulge in, and I mean indulge in EXCESS (we sure love that word)!!

In this recipe, I used frozen ripe bananas, caramel sauce, coconut milk, and vanilla to give it a creamy, rich and deliciously smooth flavour / texture. This simple recipe requires a high powered blender, some love, and of course a bit of patience.

What you’ll need:

  1. 3 fully ripe frozen bananas
  2. 1 1/2 – 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce (or you can try this with fresh pitted dates instead)
  3. 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  4. 1/2 cup of coconut milk (add more if desired)

Start off by blending the milk, bananas, caramel, and vanilla in a high powered blender. If you own a masticating juicer, you could puree the bananas then drizzle the sauce  over it. Et voila….quite simple and tasty.
