Valentine’s day is right around the corner, so what’s sweeter than surprising your valentine with a delicious chocolate recipe you made!

February always inspires me to make a really indulgent chocolate recipe, and its guilt free because its in the name of love..

This time around I chose to make a creamy, cool, chocolatey dessert. Its luscious and bold, perfect dessert for this special occasion. This particular recipe doesn’t take too long either…so don’t worry if you are a last minute person.

I combined both semi sweet chocolate squares, and cocoa (someone chose to sample the chocolate I had reserved for this recipe) none the less, I worked it out.

What you need:

  • 3 oz semi sweet chocolate (melted)
  • 2 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
  • 1 tbsp cold water
  • 2 tbsp boiling water
  • 1 cup cold whipping cream

Begin by melting chocolate using a double boiler, or melt in microwave in 15 second intervals. Set aside

In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water. Let stand for 1 minute. Add boiling water and stir, let cool slightly.

In a large bowl combine sugar and cocoa. Add whipping cream and beat until mixture stiffens.Add melted chocolate, beat until incorporated. Stir in gelatin.

Pour mixture in dessert dishes and top with berries and chocolate shavings
