With Thanksgiving being just over two weeks away, I wanted to experiment with using ingredients to make not-so-traditional fall desserts. I do LOVE pumpkin, sweet potato, and pecan pie, but I wanted to try something a little different that highlights these delicious fall flavors.

So here I go again with pumpkin…I just had to find a sweet way to use up the rest of the pumpkin puree I had from my previous recipe. This time I wanted to make something creamy and rich, but I also wanted something simple and easy. As delectable as pumpkin cheesecake sounds, I was short on time, and energy…but I wasn’t going to let that cease my dessert making.

Upon planning for a dinner party, I was on dessert duty..my favorite. We really wanted to showcase seasonal produce, spices, and colors. You can’t get much more ‘fall’ then apples and pears. Crisp, crunchy, sweet fruits, that make a great team when combined to make this delicious crumble.
