With Thanksgiving being just over two weeks away, I wanted to experiment with using ingredients to make not-so-traditional fall desserts. I do LOVE pumpkin, sweet potato, and pecan pie, but I wanted to try something a little different that highlights these delicious fall flavors.

 

So here I go again with pumpkin…I just had to find a sweet way to use up the rest of the pumpkin puree I had from my previous recipe. This time I wanted to make something creamy and rich, but I also wanted something simple and easy. As delectable as pumpkin cheesecake sounds, I was short on time, and energy…but I wasn’t going to let that cease my dessert making.

 

Upon planning for a dinner party, I was on dessert duty..my favorite. We really wanted to showcase seasonal produce,spices, and colors. You can’t get much more ‘fall’ then apples and pears. Crisp, crunchy, sweet fruits, that make a great team when combined to make this delicious crumble.
