I know when you think of making pizza, it doesn’t quite sound easy, sounds more time-consuming but I promise when I use to word ‘easy’ I really mean it. This recipe is fast, flavorful, and it’s ready in the half the time it takes to order pizza.


My kids are always asking for pizza, always. After our last grocery run, I picked up some yeast, knowing I would be putting it to use sooner than later. This recipe is a great way to let the kids participate in making their own pizzas. It’s so easy and they have so much fun being little chefs.


We decided to make two pizzas, a cheesy one for them, and a veggie one for us. I just grabbed whatever fresh vegetables I had on hand and threw them on our pizza. I also added more spices to our crust. There is so much room for creativity, and any flavors you choose. I’ve included the recipe for this pizza, but you can substitute any/all ingredients to make the pizza to your liking.


  What you need:


  • 2-2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 packet(2 1/4 tsp )yeast *preferably Fleischmann’s Pizza Crust Yeast*
  • 2/3 cup warm water
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp roasted garlic/red pepper flakes

Sauce & Toppings

  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup mexican blend cheese
  • 4 mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 red pepper, sliced
  • handful of grape tomatoes, halved
  • cilantro

Preheat oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit. a large bowl, mix together dry ingredients. Add in water and oil. Mix together until mixture starts to stick together. If needed add more flour to make a ball of dough.

On a floured surface, knead dough for about 3-4 mins. Roll out dough to desired thickness and place on greased baking sheet or pizza pan. Spread sauce evenly over pizza. Sprinkle on cheese and top with veggies and meat of your choice. Bake 12 to 14 mins.
