Winter is here, and baby it’s cold outside! Days are much shorter, and with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, there isn’t nearly enough time..or so it feels.

Well I have just the thing! A warm, comforting, recipe that is easy to make, a perfect dinner to have when you are finished christmas shopping. This meal will put you in a relaxed mood, so you can enjoy delicious food while admiring your christmas decor.


Not only is this creamy dish delicious, but it incorporates soft holiday colors…did someone say dinner party?

This dish is certainly a crowd pleaser, it’s creamy, cheesy, and has a little touch of peas for a subtle taste, texture, and of course greens.


What you need:

  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cup cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 3/4 cup peas
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bag of cooked bow tie pasta

In a large skillet, heat onions in butter.When onions are soft, add garlic. Simmer 2 mins, then add flour. Stir in flour until fully incorporated. Add cream while stirring, to avoid lumps. Add in parmesan and seasonings.

Cook sauce over med-high heat until it thickens and starts to bubble.Add in peas, cook for an additional 3-5 mins. Pour sauce over pasta, combine and serve hot.
