Salmon Avocado Sandwich

When craving salmon, this delicacy is a favorite of mine! Each key flavor such as the natural creaminess of the avocado and melted mozzarella cheese, the zesty lemon, essential garlic, and the saltiness of the raw atlantic salmon flatter the next. Together, they create what I can only describe as a wholly colorful and refreshing experience.


What you need:

  • 2 Pieces of toast
  • 1 Avocado
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 Lime or 1/2 a lemon
  • 2 tbsp of Olive oil
  • 1/2 tbsp Butter
  • Desired slices of mozzarella
  • Desired slices of raw atlantic salmon
  • Preferred quantity of mayo or other sauces


Avocado Mix:

Scoop out the avocado from it’s peel and place it in a bowl. Into the same bowl grate the garlic clove and squeeze out the lime’s juices. Proceed to crush and combine the avocado mixture until it turns into a smooth consistency. Using a fork, even and smoothen the surface of the mixture then pour the olive oil to coat the mix. This will preserve the fresh green color of the avocado for longer. Your homemade avocado spread is done!


Begin the sandwich by preparing the toast. Spread the mayo on both slices of toast. Lay the thin mozzarella slices on one of the pieces of toast.

Set a pan to medium heat, when hot, coat the bottom of the pan with 1/2 tbsp of butter. Place the ready slices of toast side by side while in the pan for approximately 4 minutes.

Turn off the stove and remove the toasts onto a serving plate. Place the thin atlantic salmon slices on top of the melted cheese. On the plain piece of toast spread the avocado mix. Finally, press the two pieces together to form your delicious salmon avocado sandwich!
